Coefficient of thermal conductivity for microwave insulation (MIZ) – experimental results

Petr Kučera, Jaroslav Řehánek

Experimental results of coefficient of thermal conductivity for microwave insulation values (MIZ) with respect to the mass density, mass humidity, and temperature are shown in this article. It is a material made of a ultrafine polyethylene fibre with diametre up to 5 μm. The fibres are assymetrical.

A comprehensive assessment of the connected joint of the opening pane inbuilt into the structure within the systém of hanging assembly

Tomáš Langer

The course and the test results of a complex assessment of the connected joint of the opening pane inbuilt into the structure within the system of a hanging assembly, made in the laboratory of the Research Institute of the Building Structures – description of the test set, programme and a goal, marginal conditions and an interpretation of results.

Assessment of the opening panes in the context with the parameters of the internal environment

Vojtěch Broža

It is important to conduct an objective assessment of the opening panes based on the results’ evaluation of the monitored parameters of the internal air in both, in the frequented areas and by the boundary layer near the window. Description of the most frequent causes and shown defects, recommended procedures for assessing the defects and failures, examples from practice.

Air-tight envelope of the building made of a single layer brick construction – laboratory measurements and findings from measurements on an experimental house HELUZ

Pavel Heinrich

Air-tight envelope of a building is an important parameter not only for reaching the forecasted energy standard of the building, but also for the forecasted life of structures and for the internal micro-clima in the building [9], [15], [16]. Despite the topic of the field of thermal insulation of buildings is already known for past tenths of years [1], the topic of air-tight envelope of buildings was recently devoted a greater attention than in the past, especially with formation of the energy efficient buildings.

It is often compared an air-tight envelope of a building, depending on construction system of a building (light, heavy, mixed), or its material solution [9], [16]. The article is dedicated to an air- -tight envelope of a building made of a single layer brick masonry and an experimental passive house in České Budějovice.

Realization and Quality of Buildings, their use

Combination of historical and a modern additional insulations – Urban spa – Gallery in Liberec

Michael Balík

The main layout and a technical problem for a designer of rehabilitation of buildings was a principal change of use of the building – from a spa (until 1984) into a gallery. Rehabilitation adjustments of a sub-structure of the former spa building of Franz Josef, were designed in a way not to damage the historically preserved structure.

For the client – the city of Liberec – delivered the project SIAL – architects and engineers, Ltd. (author Ing. Arch. Jiří Buček with co-authors and designers), construction delivery by CHLÁDEK A TINTĚRA company – Pardubice, PLC. The remediation adjustments designed the author of this article.
