Hygrothermal behavior of a cold deck flat roof of prefabricated building with wooden upper deck after retrofit using blown thermal insulation

Kamil Staněk

This paper investigates hygrothermal behavior of a cold deck flat roof of prefabricated building with wooden upper deck during the first two years after a complex retrofit. The retrofit was based on application of blown cellulose thermal insulation into the air layer between the decks and installation of roof-top vents to support ventilation of the air layer. The hygrothermal data was collected using detailed in-situ measurement.

Life monitoring of insulation systems (ETICS)

Petr Lorenc

The suitability, reliability and durability of external thermal insulation systems remains a certain amount of not quite accurate and good wishes. Aim of this article is to raise awareness in the contact Insulation of buildings.

The prototype – the best way to set the rules of quality control windows and doors in construction

Jan Klečka

The article discusses the mock-up. Mock-up is a full-size model of windows and doors, used for demonstration made connecting joint. The goal of the prototype implementation of the rules of the management system of quality control for windows and doors in the construction and findings of possible irregularities in design. Another reason is the approval of the visual appearance of windows and doors in relation to surrounding structures (facade, plumbing construction, etc.) And approval of the color appearance architect.

The influence of calculation model for unheated staircase on energy need for heating

Pavla Ryklová

This paper deals with the influence of the way how the unheated space is modelled in the calculation model of the building on its overall energy need for heating. It presents the differences between the results for calculation model with the unheated space and the calculation model taking the whole floor as one heated space. The paper also shows the main factors which influence the results.

Hygrothermal behaviour of External Walls after insulation

Marián Vertaľ, Pavol Ďurica

This article discusses numerical analysis of hygrothermal behaviour of autoclaved aerated concrete wall. This type of light concrete was produced on the basis of silica sand and frequently used in constructions of residential houses in Slovakia. Applying material parameters [1], boundary and initial condition [3] into modern calculation methods we will be able to analyse annual hygrothermal performance of autoclaved aerated concrete wall constructions, alternative solutions for external thermal insulation composite system and its influence on building materials drying affect.

Construction and housing construction in the Czech Republic

Marie Báčová

Building construction development in the Czech Republic since 1999; crises in the Czech construction which fluctuated in 2013. Share of repair, maintenance and changes of delivered buildings in the total volume of building construction was in 1999–2014 around 50 %. Share of construction works for public applicants is still too high in the Czech Republic (37–54 %). Housing construction share was in 1997–2015 about 10 % of the total volume of construction works. A process of sub-urbanisation was characteristic for the housing construction in the last decade. Major part of new family houses is self-developed. Technical facilities increased in the newly delivered flats. Share of expenditures of housing on the total household consumption was in average 27,3 % in 2013.
Higher share within the EU confirms only Denmark (30,2 %). In 2000–2014 there were bulit more than 11k flats in retirement houses and in pension houses in the Czech Republic. The highest number of retirement houses was built in Brno (502 flats). Prague defies the whole country data on average costs for 1 building (and 1 flat) for senior citizens. State's expenditures on housing are yearly around CZK20bn. Half of this cost represent housing contributions and housing supplements.

Energy performance of industrial buildings – PART 2 – Design of building envelope

Jiří Cihlář
Design of building envelope, that means layers of so called boundary constructions; is the key procedure within the design process. It might seem that this step is crucial only for industrial buildings with low-energy ambitions or those that are intended for international environmental certification. This article is focusing on valid Czech legal requirements and also on the coming nearly energy zero standard of buildings.
